Tad Williams’ visit at our office was an amazing experience. We could not be happier with how it went and we are going to tell you why. Whenever developers work with a licensed IP, we more often than not have to deal with countless restrictions and rules that make it extremely difficult to adapt the idea of the IP to a game, not to mention cripple the creative process to a significant degree. And if you need to change or add some things that you know you need to make the game work, all hell breaks loose. With Tad it’s a delightful opposite of that. He is absolutely incredible when it comes to the creative process and being open minded about ideas. We’ve spent two days discussing things we added and how we want to proceed with content and he was coming up with ideas on the spot how to integrate some of them into his work to keep the game consistent with his books in the future.
